Quillentra runs in your web browser, so there’s nothing to install. Open it on a computer, tablet or phone and the layout adapts to the screen. There are no iOS or Android apps.
What works where
- In-person recording, dictation and uploads work in recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox.
- Telehealth capture, which records a browser tab’s audio, needs Chrome or Edge on a desktop or laptop computer.
Microphones
Quillentra records from your browser’s default microphone. There’s no microphone picker in the app, so to use a headset or Bluetooth microphone, make it the default input in your browser or operating system settings. While you record, the moving bars show that Quillentra can hear you.
Permissions
Your browser asks for microphone access the first time you record. If you blocked it by accident, see Microphone not detected.
While you record or upload
- Keep the tab open. Your browser warns you if you try to close it while audio is still being saved.
- Audio is uploaded in short segments as you record. It’s held in memory only until it’s uploaded and is never saved to your device.
Light and dark mode
Quillentra follows your device’s theme. To choose one yourself, open the account menu under your name, select Theme, then Light, Dark or System.
