  4. “No speech was detected in the recording”

“Microphone access was blocked”

Your browser is blocking Quillentra from using the microphone.

  1. In the address bar, open the site settings for Quillentra. In most browsers, it’s the icon to the left of the web address.
  2. Allow the microphone.
  3. Reload the page and select Record visit again.

If that doesn’t help, check your computer’s privacy settings. On a Mac, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and make sure your browser is allowed. On Windows, go to Settings → Privacy & security → Microphone.

The wrong microphone is used

Quillentra uses your browser’s default microphone and has no microphone picker. Change the default input in your browser or operating system settings, then start a new recording. While recording, the moving bars show that Quillentra can hear you.

“This browser can’t record audio”

Update to a recent version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.

“No speech was detected in the recording”

If a visit fails with this message, the recording was silent. Check your microphone with the steps above, then record again. Retrying the same visit won’t help, because there’s no speech in the audio.
