Troubleshooting

Lost your authenticator app

Only password sign-ins use an authenticator. Sign in with an email code instead, or use a backup code.

  1. Use a backup code
  2. Moving to a new phone
  3. Codes aren’t accepted

Your authenticator app is only needed when you sign in with a password. You can always select Continue with email on the sign-in page and sign in with a code sent to your inbox instead.

Use a backup code

  1. Sign in with your email and password.
  2. On the Two-step verification screen, select Use a backup code instead.
  3. Enter one of your saved backup codes and select Verify. Each code works once.

Then, in Settings → Sign-in & security, enter your password under Generate new backup codes and select Regenerate codes so you have a fresh set.

Moving to a new phone

Many authenticator apps can transfer your accounts to a new phone. If you can’t, keep signing in with email codes and contact support at support@quillentra.com to reset two-step verification for your password.

Codes aren’t accepted

  • Codes depend on the correct time. Make sure your phone sets its date and time automatically.
  • After 8 incorrect codes, two-step verification is locked for 15 minutes. Wait, then try again — or sign in with an email code.
