Recording visits

Pre-charting

Start a note before the visit without recording, type into it directly, or let the AI draft it from your context.

  1. Let the AI draft from your context
  2. Good to know

Pre-charting creates a visit with an empty note from the template you choose, so you can prepare before the patient arrives. Nothing is recorded, so no consent is needed.

  1. In Visits, choose a template and, optionally, a patient. You can add Context now or later.
  2. Select Pre-chart without recording, below the start button.
  3. The visit opens with an empty note. Type into any section. Changes save automatically.

Let the AI draft from your context

  1. Open the Context tab and add what you know, such as the reason for the visit, history, medications and results.
  2. Select Save context.
  3. Go back to the note’s tab, open the ⋯ menu and select Regenerate…, then Regenerate.

Quillentra drafts the note from your context and, if a patient is assigned, their details and background notes. Regenerating replaces the note’s text, but the previous text is kept in version history. If no context has been saved, the draft can’t be written and the note shows a message saying so.

Good to know

You can’t add a recording to a pre-charted visit later. To record the visit itself, start a new visit from Visits.
